Nutrition & The Athlete

Proper nutrition fuels an athlete’s body with the nutrients it needs to avoid burn out, recover quickly, and protect itself from chronic inflammation later in life.  Athletes do this by consuming balanced macro-nutrition (carbs and protein), but it is critical that micro-nutrition found in fruits, vegetables and berries is not ignored.

People need to consume 7-13 servings of raw fruits and vegetables daily, yet the athlete needs to consume 10+ servings because their body is in higher demand!

Even the best eaters need help with this which is why Hardwood Evolution offers the nutritional support of Juice Plus as recommended by many medical professionals including Dr. Bill Sears of The Doctors, Dr. Mitra Ray, Dr. Tamara Sachs, MD, and Dr. David Phillips.

This is the same nutritional support that Hardwood’s Owner, Derek Griffin consumes and recommends along with many other high-level athletes (see partial list to the left).
